What is Travle?

Travle is an entertaining game inspired by the popular word-based word game Wordle but with a travel twist. Named "travel wordle," Travle challenges players to remember countries of the globe using maps and intelligent hints. If traveling to new places and testing geography skills excites you, Travle is the ideal game for you. Each round transports you to different nations worldwide, asking you to identify nations and map a route from the Start Nation to the End Nation. Can you reach your destination through the shortest route and fewest number of guesses?

Game Rules

Travle is simple to learn but extremely enjoyable. You name countries in any order as you go from the Start Country to the End Country. But there's a catch: you need to say each country you would go through, except for islands that don't make you create new routes.

After every answer, an emoji indicates how close you are approaching to the best route:

  • Green emoji – closer to the best route
  • Orange emoji – nearly but not shortest path
  • Red emoji – considerable deviation
  • Black emoji – no land connection between your estimate and destination

One-country direct overwater jumps are OK, i.e., over the Bosphorus in Turkey or among Malaysian islands. But those involving closeness to neighboring countries, e.g., France to French Guiana or Spain to Ceuta/Melilla, are not OK.

Your goal is to travel from the Start Country to the End Country by trying to guess the countries in between optimally. Any order is fine to guess countries, except that for exclave reasons, all of the countries which you travel through have to be mentioned.
